Anxiety Loop stores the following information locally on your device:
- Check-in entries: Anxiety levels, body cues, thoughts, and timestamps
- Exercise usage: Which calming exercises you use and when
- App preferences: Theme settings, notification preferences, and onboarding status
- Subscription status: Whether you have an active Pro subscription (managed by Apple)
Important: This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly enable iCloud sync (not currently available).
1.2 No Account Required
Anxiety Loop does not require account creation or sign-in. You can start using the app immediately without providing any personal information.
1.4 Information We Don't Collect
We do NOT collect or have access to:
- Your anxiety check-in data
- Your personal thoughts or notes
- Your body cues or patterns
- Your location
- Your contacts or photos
- Any personally identifiable information
1.5 Apple StoreKit Data
When you purchase a Pro subscription, Apple handles the transaction. We receive only:
- Subscription status (active/inactive)
- Subscription expiration date
We do not receive your payment information, which is managed entirely by Apple.
2. How We Use Your Information
2.1 Local Data Processing
All data processing happens locally on your device to:
- Display your check-in history and trends
- Generate pattern insights and analytics
- Suggest appropriate calming exercises
- Send local notifications for daily check-ins (if enabled). Notifications are optional and can be disabled at any time in system settings
2.2 No Third-Party Sharing
We do not share, sell, or transmit your data to any third parties. Period.
3. Data Storage and Security
3.1 Local Storage
- All data is stored in your device's secure local storage
- Data is protected by iOS security features and your device passcode/Face ID/Touch ID
- Your data may be included in device-level backups managed by iOS, depending on your system settings
3.2 Future iCloud Sync (Optional)
If we add iCloud sync in the future:
- It will be entirely optional
- Data will be encrypted in transit and at rest
- Only you will have access through your Apple ID
- We will not have access to your synced data
4. Your Rights and Controls
4.1 Data Access
You have complete control over your data:
- View all your check-in entries in the app
- Export your data (not currently available)
- Delete individual entries or all data at once
5. Children's Privacy
Anxiety Loop is intended for a general audience and not specifically directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information through the app, please contact us.
6. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by:
- Updating the "Last Updated" date
- Posting the new Privacy Policy in the app
- Notifying you through the app (for significant changes)
7. Third-Party Services
7.1 Apple Services
The app uses the following Apple services:
- StoreKit: For in-app purchases (Pro subscription)
- UserNotifications: For local reminders (if you enable them)
- AVFoundation: For voice guidance during exercises
These services are governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
7.2 No Analytics or Tracking
We do not use:
- Google Analytics or similar services
- Advertising networks
